	COMPANY PROFILE The firm was founded in 1946 as Scott Engineering Company by Professional Engineer and Licensed Surveyor, Robert S. Scott. The company was incorporated as R. S. Scott Engineering Co., Inc. in 1956. In 1976 the name was changed to R.S. Scott Associates, Inc., to reflect the firms diversity of disciplines, i.e. Engineering, Architecture, Surveying and related technical areas. The RSSA staff includes six Licensed Professional Engineers, three Graduate Engineers, one Licensed Professional Architect, one Licensed Professional Surveyor and one Graduate Surveyor. The professional staff is complimented by a technical staff trained in both general and specialized fields. For over 50 years, R.S. Scott Associates has built and maintained a solid professional engineering reputation through service to our clients locally and in more than half of Michigan's 83 counties. This includes the following: More than 200 buildings and related architectural projects. More than 250 bridges, including several types of grade separations. Design and/or construction of more than 2000 miles of roads and streets, including dual highways and interchanges. More than 100 miles of public utilities for small communities.
