R.S.S.A. retained to develop preliminary plans, construction documents and
construction administration for a 37,360 square feet multi-use arena and
community center. Final design included an 85, x 200, ice rink, locker
rooms, concession, bleachers, offices/community center and catering
kitchen. The facility also has a back-up emergency generator allowing the
complex to be used as an emergency shelter. The ice sheet utilizes an
indirect refrigeration system by Burleys Rink Supply. The facility boasts
a state of the art desiccant dehumidification system that also provides heating
and ventilation. This system signaled a new trend in arena
dehumidification technology.
